Pale yellow painted fibros cement asbestos cladding, possibly from the inside walls of another room in the main cottage.

What appears to be burls growing on a branch, callus tissues that grow as a protective response to tree diseases and is often covered with bark.

The main cottage foundations are more extensive than first thought, despite studying satellite images from back in the day

One can only hope the cracks won't exacerbate with time and growth.

Although it would be nice to restore history like the cottage foundations, at times, it can only cover up the integrity of its origins the way history left it.

An eroded hole as a result of growing tree roots below the surface.

A plank of wood possibly placed in its original location, which could be the result of the base of a wooden frame that divided two rooms in the cottage.

History versus nature - in times like this, a minimalist approach to the obstruction of nature is necessary, although history in its limited state shares a balance.

Many well-worn tracks lead you all over Point Peron, some originating back from when the K Battery was in operation, as seen from satellite imagery.

A random piece of limestone that could have come from any building or infrasture, judging from what appears to be a smooth-shaping or cutting of the top surface.

An old Stateworks Brick with the remains of joining cement and white efflorescence salts.

A sheet of tin blown some distance away from the cottages.

A beautiful view of the ocean in a northerly direction and a complimenting-coloured sky.

Looking out at Garden Island and it's Causeway Bridge, which was built from 1971.

What looks like a lobster's tail, although its exoskeleton structure tends to give it an excellent armor protection.

One metre to the right of the start of this tin wall and one metre back, it's very likely the concrete base of the old radio tower remains just below the surface.

Notwithstanding I have almost too many photos of the main cottage foundations, it still looks somewhat different everytime and quite often, newly improved in some way.

A scatter of debris up the sloping start of the dune. Oneday, this site shall be perfectly tended in the way that important history deserves, in lieu of being neglected.

An array of colours, fresh at best

More of the original lino has come to light in more ways than one!

Sometimes you can look at a map or aerial image over and over but even after 20 times, you can see things in a new light. Such as an extension to the foundations from long ago that extend further than first thought.

A cleaner extension that was covered with depths of soil for longer than I've lived.
