District Gunner No.1 Cottage
Similar in design to the District Gunner's No.2 Cottage, located approximately 197m north-west from the No.1 Cottage, it faced Salmon Bay in close proximity to the rail line.
Whilst the cottage has since been demolished, the rail line is currently being used to transport island visitors from the Rottnest Island Train Station to the Oliver Hill Battery.
It was originally built as married quarters for the Master Gunner and his family but later repurposed as a wireless station by the Signals upon civilians being ordered off the island.
